Mary Oldfield is a rare C-level marketing executive with a strong foundation in finance. Her 20+ years of experience span e-commerce, brand management, corporate development and investment banking. She is a thoughtful, performance-driven leader who is passionate about helping businesses craft growth strategies that are grounded in both deep customer insights and analytical rigor. Mary has expertise in managing luxury brands and consumer brands and building and developing cohesive, high-functioning teams. After much time at multinational corporations, Mary is now focused on helping early-stage startups scale up and grow profitably. She especially enjoys identifying and unlocking growth opportunities and creative problem solving.
Mary is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Halsbrook, an online retailer of women’s luxury apparel. She oversees marketing, from the development of customer acquisition and retention strategies to the execution of brand marketing plans across all digital and offline channels. Mary also oversees finance, including financial planning, budgeting and reporting. Under her leadership, Halsbrook has achieved consistent double-digit growth and customer repeat/retention rates among the highest in the industry.
Prior to Halsbrook, Mary spent 6 years at Unilever managing such iconic brands as Dove, Degree and Suave. She was responsible for global market development, innovation launches, marketing campaigns and P&L management. She also spent 4 years at News Corporation, where she worked closely with senior management on strategic acquisitions, partnerships and divestitures as well as the launch of new businesses. She began her career in tax advisory services and investment banking.
Mary has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
